Thank God for Boxing Day
For the past few years the day after Christmas has been like my New Year's. I always resolve to do new things, or do stuff better or whatever, and I can't wait another week to start. Also, I've not been enamored with the xmas, so I'm extremely anxious to get it over with.
I realize there's a holiday called Boxing Day, which no one in America seems to know what it's for. I've heard tell it's a bank holiday in the British tradition, and maybe means boxing up all the year's papers or something. I think that's a good way to go about it. My apartment is in utter shambles, and I can't wait to take down my Christmas decoration (tree, about eight inches high) and start the real and psychological clean-up after the whirlwind holiday.
So, here are things I'm excited about:

So, here are things I'm excited about:
- R&J begins rehearsal in just about a month. This is great because it's a day job in the theater. Paying real cash, and earning me Equity points; this leads to...
- I believe I'm 16 weeks away from joining the union. The CST gig is 16 weeks (I think). My life might seriously change in about five months; this is good because...
- My life needs a serious overhaul. Turning 30 next month. Seems natural to assess and plan for this milestone. I've been looking up other actors I admire (the famous ones) to try to somehow gauge my career. Joe Fiennes played Shakespeare at 27. 'Nough to get me moving...
- Time to find an agent. I've lived here for about six years, have been temping the entire time because I "needed to have the flexibility to audition." That's all well and good, but I can probably count the number of times I've had to take time from work to audition on both hands (maybe adding a few toes). So, time to get moving...
- Submit to the Big Dogs. The folks working on the CST show seem to be successful on the grander stages of our town. I feel like I'm behind. Time to meet the S-wolves and Good-men, the Courts and the Reggies of the world.

A new hope
With Thanksgiving out of the way and Old Wicked Songs open, I'm trying to get my life back in order. Or at least, in order to some degree. Cleaning the house, getting more lucrative work, designing web page. You know, the usual.

BACK
OK, so it's been more than nine months since I last posted. I ain't no editor anymore and I certainly don't work for Cano. You see, it was all a sham, a con if you will. My former boss is in jail (I hope) and I'm back at my former job as a temp.

Too Difficult for the Numb Brain
Blogging should not be this difficult. I know that, but somehow I can't seem to find enough time in the day (or week or fortnight) to write.
It's really quite unbelievable.
But since I'm looking at new writers for Cano, I've been reminded that I have this blog and I hope to start writing in earnest soon.
